She has taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for over five years through Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, and Jefferson County Public Schools.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, her writing (including interviews, essays, and short fiction) has appeared in Edible Louisville, Adirondack Review, Arts Across Kentucky, Blood Lotus, New Southerner,The Rumpus, and the anthology New Growth. Her book reviews have appeared in The Courier-Journal and the Lexington-Herald.
In her spare time, Aimee likes to travel, study other languages, cook, and read.
